Patricia Banks ~ Artist

Canadian West Coast Landscape, Seascape and Nature Art

Biography

International award winning, Canadian Artist Patricia Banks is inspired by the magnificence and splendour of the natural environment.

Patricia shares her special connection to the land and the sea with others through her detailed acrylic paintings. Primarily self taught, she is always learning and refining her skills through practice, teaching, and taking on new creative challenges. Patricia actively supports a number of special charities.

"I am intrigued by the fleeting balance between strength and fragility in nature. By capturing light and movement in my paintings, I lead my viewers to pause and reflect, and to feel as if they are there, in the moment".

Patricia is president of the Nanaimo branch of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a member of the International Guild of Realism and the Island Illustrators Society. She continues to teach art workshops and devotes her time to painting the subjects she loves. Her work can be found in local, national, and international collections.
